Effect of Laser Cutting Speed on Magnetic Properties of Iron-based Amorphous Alloy

    • Iron-based amorphous alloy strip was cut by using laser cutting technology, and the iron-based amorphous cores with a toroidal laminated structure were prepared at three different cutting speeds of 1 m/min, 4 m/min, 8 m/min, laser power of 75 W and auxiliary air pressure of 0.1 MPa. The results show that the coercivity and loss of the cores prepared by laser cutting under DC test increase compared with those of the cores without laser cutting. When the laser cutting speed is 8m/min, the deterioration of the soft magnetic properties of the Fe-based amorphous alloy is the least, and the increase of coercivity and loss is the least. This is due to the fact that as the laser cutting speed increases, the laser energy concentrated on the iron-based amorphous alloy per time decreases, and the size of both the heat-affected zone and the crystallization zone decreases, and the effect on the amorphous state of the iron-based amorphous alloy decreases.
