Study Progress of Microstructure and Properties of Titanium Alloys Prepared by Additive Manufacturing

    • As a lightweight structural material, titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace, weaponry and biomedical materials because of high specific strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and biocompatibility. The research progress on the microstructure and properties of additive manufacturing titanium alloys from the perspectives of mechanical properties, fatigue properties, high temperature oxidation properties, frictional wear properties and biocompatibility was reviewed. The effects of alloying, heat treatment and laser impact strengthening on the microstructure and properties of the additive manufacturing Ti alloy were studied. The next research direction of additive manufacturing of the titanium alloys was also prospected to provide references for future development.
