Research Status and Development Trend of Ring Rolling Technology

Ring rolling is an advanced manufacturing technology of seamless ring parts with various shapes and sizes,and it has promising applications in many fields such as aerospace,equipment manufacturing and nuclear industry. A systematic analysis,summary and discussion of the relevant literature on ring rolling technology were carried out. The classification,working principle,process and equipment of ring rolling were introduced. Recent research progress of domestic and foreign scholars in ring piece rolling experiment,theory and finite element simulation was summarized.The main problems existing in the current research were pointed out,and the future development trend of ring rolling technology was prospected to provide ideas and references for the research and practice of ring rolling technology.
