Research Progress of Automobile Engine Valve Materials and Tribological Properties

The valve is an important part of the engine, which controls the intake and exhaust of the engine during the working process, and affects the work efficiency of the engine at all times.The development status of valve materials and the tribological properties of commonly used valve steels were discussed. The application of common surface technologies in valve friction reduction and anti-wear was summarized, including surface heat treatment, mechanical treatment, laser treatment, thermal spraying and other technologies.Finally, the prospect of the application was discussed.
