Research Progress on Welding Remanufacturing of Ductile Cast Iron

Ductile cast iron bears severe corrosion and wear under extreme conditions, resulting in damage and failure of components.In order to reduce the cost and improve the service performance of ductile cast iron, it is necessary to repair the defects or modify the surface of the parts to have better surface wear resistance and corrosion resistance.By welding, the cladding layer with good metallurgical bonding can be formed on the surface of ductile cast iron, or the defects can be filled with appropriate metal materials to achieve the purpose of remanufacturing.In this paper, the research situation of ductile cast iron welding remanufacturing in China and foreign countries was investigated, and the main research results of ductile cast iron remanufacturing by using arc welding, friction stir processing and laser welding process were summarized.It can provide guidance for the related research of ductile iron remanufacturing.
