Review on Determination and Prediction of Material Spheroidization Damage

Spheroidization is a common material deterioration damage of high-temperature equipment such as superheater and main steam pipe of power plant boiler after long-term service, which reduce mechanical properties of the equipment and lead to accidents such as cracking and tube explosion, posing a serious threat to the safe operation of the equipment,personnel’s life safety and enterprise production. Therefore, researchers have carried out a series of studies on the spheroidization of materials. The mechanism of material spheroidization damage, the determination of spheroidization grade and the prediction of spheroidization behavior were summarized. The existing methods of spheroidization damage determination and prediction were summarized and analyzed, and the further prospects were proposed according to the research status of material spheroidization damage.
