Research Status and Development Trend of Sandblasting Pretreatment of Substrate Surface by Thermal Spraying

The principle, process characteristics, equipment and common sand materials of sand blasting pretreatment before thermal spraying were briefly described. The effects of sand blasting pretreatment on the deposition characteristics,surface roughness, bonding strength and fatigue properties of hot-sprayed particles and the research status of sand blasting standards in recent years were summarized. Finally, it was pointed out that the development of automation, standard perfection, process compounding and technology breakthrough were the future development trends of thermal spray sandblasting pretreatment.
