Abstract
The Ti-6Al-4V alloy was processed by compound multi-directional forging and aging treatment. Ultrafine crystalline titanium alloy with high strength and excellent plasticity was prepared to enhance the wear resistance of ultrafine crystalline titanium alloy. The research results show that the sample grains is obviously refined and the ultrafine second phase particles are dispersed after composite processing, and the mechanical properties are significantly improved. After the multi-directional forging and aging treatment at 400℃ for 4h, the tensile strength and the yield strength of the test samples increase from 888.00MPa and 845.98MPa to 1091.75MPa and 1068.06MPa respectively, which increase by 22.9% and 28.4% respectively, and the material maintains good ductility and toughness. This is mainly due to the formation of superfine crystal structure with α and β phases and nano-second phase particles.
