Numerical Simulation Analysis on Deposition Process of Plasma Thermal Spray

    • The three-dimensional finite element model of plasma thermal spraying single-pass multi-layer coating was established by ANSYS finite element analysis software. The temperature field and stress field of plasma sprayed NiCrFeMo coating were simulated. The results show that during the spraying process, the temperature of the coating system increases with the increase of the deposition layer, the temperature is highest when spraying to the outermost layer;the temperature gradient of the coating in thickness direction is large;the temperature of the coating particles fluctuates periodically with time increasing. The stress of the coated particles also fluctuates greatly with time increasing. The bonding interface between the coating and the substrate is the position of residual stress concentration, and the residual stress is tensile stress.
