Abstract:
Metal components in machinery, metallurgy, oceanography and other fields are often subjected to harsh environments of corrosion and wear, which significantly limits their lifespan. The traditional coating techniques and materials are difficult to meet practical application requirements. Considering that plasma cladding technology features favorable metallurgical combination, high efficiency and low cost, and the excellent comprehensive performance of high entropy alloys, the combination of the two is the forefront direction for solving the problem of short service life of metal components. This article summarized common high entropy alloy coating systems and pointed out their compatibility with plasma cladding processes. The research progress of plasma cladding high entropy alloy anti-corrosion and wear-resistant coatings was systematically reviewed from two dimensions of cladding process optimization and performance enhancement mechanism . The shortcomings of current research in coating system design, process control mechanism and substrate adaptation ranges were deeply analyzed. Based on this, future research directions were discussed, providing theoretical support and technical references for improving the service reliability of key industrial components and spurring the quality upgrading of high-end equipment manufacturing.
