Abstract:
In the harsh Marine environment, Marine engineering equipment is faced with great wear and corrosion problems. However, the traditional single diamond-like carbon films(DLC) can not meet the performance requirements. In order to improve the performance of DLC films, Cr/MoS
2-DLC films were deposited on 304 stainless steel substrates by DC magnetron sputtering technology. The effects of Cr power on the tribological propeties and corrosion properties of the composite films were studied. The microstructure and valence states were characterized by scanning electron microscope, energy spectrometer, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer and Raman spectrometer. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties and tribological properties of the films were tested by a nano-indentation instrument and friction tester. The results show that the surface microstructure of Cr/MoS
2-DLC films are compact and evenly distributed, the quality of the films is good, and there are no obvious cracks and holes. Among the three films, the film with Cr power of 20 W has the best performance. The hardness and elastic recovery rates of the films is about 17.60 GPa and 55.26%, respectively. The friction coefficients in the atmospheric environment, deionized water and artificial seawater are about 0.10, 0.12 and 0.13, respectively. The corrosion potential and corrosion current density are about 0.0055 V and 2.83×10
-8 A/cm
2. It shows the best anti-friction and anti-corrosion properties, plays an excellent protective role for the matrix, and effectively improves the tribological properties and corrosion properties of the matrix.
