Abstract: As a kind of ultra-high temperature ceramic, ZrB₂-SiC ceramic based composite is mainly used in the nose cone and wings and some harsh working conditions, which has become one of the key high temperature materials in various countries. The preparation method of ZrB₂-SiC ceramic base composite was mainly discussed. The mechanical properties, oxidation resistance and thermal shock resistance involved in their use were briefly introduced, and the future development of ultra-high temperature ceramics was discussed.
