Abstract: The factors limiting tundish’s life were analyzed. By combining physical simulation with field practice, the cleanliness of molten steel was improved by adjusting the process parameters of LF furnace and tundish structure. The erosion resistance of tundish slag line was improved by adjusting tundish covering agent and tundish working layer, so that the life of single tundish can be increased from 22 h to 60.67 h.
