英文摘要：Clinch technology is a new way which may substitute spot welding, riveting and other traditional joining technology, the technology can be used to join common low-carbon steel, aluminum, coated and dissimilar material sheets. The background, principle, advantages of clinching were systematically introduced, the present state both in theory and application was summarized. Some existing problems and future development emphasis were pointed out
